The owners of Waterwynch Mill were determined to use the correct materials when converting their outbuildings into luxury accommodation

All the modern comforts to guarantee a relaxing and memorable stay for the guests were complemented by the lime repairs to the solid walled structures, both inside and out.  A subtle pale green limewash was applied to the lime roughcast finish on the “weather wall”.  TLC recommended this finish to help the walls control their own moisture.  Buildings designed for human habitation usually have two foot or so thick walls, whereas outbuildings were often narrower in profile, so the more lime both inside and out the better.
