Cippyn cottage rescued from dereliction in the nick of time

A two hundred year-old cottage which lay derelict by the side of a road in North Pembrokeshire for over 50 years has been rescued by its new owners

Working to exacting plans and using only traditional materials, TLC rebuilt the walls of the cottage with the stone from the site.  We used hot lime mixes for rebuilding the walls and the window and door lintels were replaced with locally sourced timber. The new roof structure incorporated two large glulam beams, which were put in place with a large crane. The building is now embarking on its latest incarnation as a hub for a sustainable agricultural project.
